Omaha Central Eagles Freshman defeated Papillion-LaVista South 3-0 on Thursday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Logan Dean induced a groundout from Calvin Razac to finish off the game.
Omaha Central Eagles Freshman didn’t take the lead until later in the game. Dylan Baker drove in two when he singled in the fifth inning.
One bright spot for Papillion-LaVista South was a single by Garret Harrah in the first inning.
Gabe Prescott earned the win for Omaha Central Eagles Freshman. He threw four innings, giving up zero runs, two hits, and striking out two. Logan Dean recorded the last six outs to earn the save for Omaha Central Eagles Freshman. Eli Foreman took the loss for Papillion-LaVista South. He went four and two-thirds innings, giving up three runs, five hits, and striking out four.
Scott Warner led Omaha Central Eagles Freshman with three hits in three at bats. Omaha Central Eagles Freshman was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Liam Kaminski made the most plays with nine.
Harrah went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Papillion-LaVista South in hits.
