The Omaha Central Eagles opened the 2019 football season with a big win against the Omaha Benson Bunnies, 53-2. A stout offensive line paved the way to allow DeAnthony Bridgeford-Jackett to score 3 touchdowns. Devontae Perry had a good night running too with 10 carries for 97 yards and one touchdown. The Eagles defense, also known as the Grape Crush, played in the backfield all night. Benson had -32 total yards for the game. They were led up front by Kaedyn Reynolds with one solo and 4 assisted tackles, one being for a loss. Ashad Wills also came up big on defense with 4 solos and 2 assisted tackles. The special teams weren’t left out either. DeAnthony blocked a punt once and tackled the punter for a safety on another one. Justin Davis scooped up the blocked punt and ran 22 yards for the score.

This week we’re at home again as we host the Creighton Prep Junior Jays. The crowd was rocking last week, let’s do it again. Friday September 6 at 7 pm.
